Walking it out

Expect War
We have found the enemy is very unhappy with losing ground. He will fight to take back the strongholds he had in you. He will test you to see if you are serious. How? The same lies the enemy used prior to deliverance can be sent this time, from the outside. Read your notes of how the enemy attacked in the past. He knows your weak spots. Some people will walk away from their session with immediate peace. For others, it may take a while to experience a “quietness” of mind. Once it comes, fight to keep it. Use the tools we suggest below to make war so that you can achieve peace.

Recognize attacks
During your deliverance prayer, the lies of the enemy were exposed. The areas they attacked were revealed. The enemy will try to attack in the same way he did before, and he will try new ways as well. If you do not have peace, you are under attack. Every step of ours is made to be one of peace, that is one reason why our armor has shoes of the gospel of peace. It is supposed to pass our understanding, surpass the circumstances. Peace does not mean a lack of war. Peace is ours in the midst of the storm, if we claim it, through the Prince of Peace.

Capture your thoughts
The battle does not end here. This is a major victory, but you will need to be vigilant so that the enemy does not sow seeds of fear, doubt and unbelief. You will need to practice taking every thought captive to Christ. That is a huge undertaking, but you have a choice as to which thoughts you allow to take root. Scripture gives us the parameters of thoughts that are true, honest, just, pure, lovely and of good report. Each thought must meet all of these criteria. We are not responsible for every thought that comes through our minds, the enemy is a thought caster.  He will send thoughts and then condemn us for thinking them.  We are responsible for taking the thoughts captive, we cannot allow them to take root.

We have authority to judge
1 Corinthians 6:2-3
Or do you not know that the saints will judge the world? And if the world is to be judged by you, are you incompetent to try trivial cases? Do you not know that we are to judge angels? How much more then, matters pertaining to this life?

Fire is a weapon of God
Psalm 97:3 Fire goes before him and burns up his adversaries all around.

Leviticus 10:2 And fire came out from before the Lord and consumed them, and they died before the Lord
Deuteronomy 4:24 For the Lord your God is a consuming fire, a jealous God.

2 Kings 1:10 But Elijah answered the captain of fifty, “If I am a man of God, let fire come down from heaven and consume you and your fifty” Then fire came and consumed him and his fifty.

Sample prayers:
Holy Spirit, in this moment, I ask for a pillar of fire to surround me and burn all demonic spirits and weapons that are hindering me.

Holy Spirit please consume with your fire, all demonic spirits and weapons that are hindering me. Angels of the Lord, please remove any other spirit serving the power of darkness to the throne of God for judgment.

Some Tools

Every day you need to put your spiritual armor on (Ephesians 6). Be as simple or as elaborate as you want with your request. Scripture says to put it on so that we may be able to stand the schemes of the enemy. It will disable the devices of the enemy against you.

Ask Him to hide you under the shadow of His wing. This will hide you from
the demonic in others. Jesus used this as a form of protection (John8:59)

Use the blood of Jesus to cleanse your emotions. Ask Him to wash you in His blood. It makes your spiritual armor shine, makes you a reflection of Him.

Ask for angels to help you. He gives His angels charge over you, to keep
you in all your ways (Psalm 91:11)

Quote an applicable scripture. It is a sword for your protection. Holy Spirit will quicken you and bring a passage to your mind for each new circumstance. (When you are afraid you could say “God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power of love and a sound mind.) This is one reason that memorization is so important in our Christian walk.

Declare what you have been redeemed from and a scriptural antidote to your issue. For example, if you are under attack you can say, “I have been redeemed from the power of the enemy, therefore NO WEAPON formed against me will prosper.” When you are feeling sick you can say “I have been redeemed from the curse, therefore by His stripes I am healed”

Be careful what you say. Your words have the power to shape your destiny. (Read James 3) You are created in God’s image; you were made to speak life. Use your mouth to bless.

Ask the angels of God to erect a spiritual canopy over your home or hotel room etc. ( Isaiah 4:5) Ask them to cleanse away all darkness. Ask for the blood of Jesus to purify everything in, on or around your home. Be specific. Cleanse it regularly.

Ask that the blood of Jesus be every barrier that you need between you and the kingdom of darkness.

Pray “Peace be still, in Jesus’ name” Claim the name of Jesus over every circumstance.

Forgiveness is a powerful tool in our journey of freedom.  We are told to not let the sun go down on our wrath.  Our minds are like computers, we are wiring the hard drive when we sleep.  If we have anger and a lack of forgiveness, that is getting wired into the workings of our minds as we sleep.  Then life gets busy and we sometimes forget to address the issue.  This is a subtle way the enemy gets into our lives.  Some offenses are very hard to forgive, they take some time.  In this case, it might be a continual process for a while of asking God to help you be willing to forgive, of receiving His forgiveness and then offering that to the offending party.
